We are small kennel of Flat coated retrievers, situated in the South Bohemia, Czech Republic, not far from Austria border.
Our puppies were quite succesfull so we gained the titel Breeder of the year 2009 for the breed of Flatcoated Retrievers
Currently we have two breeding bitches, Ike z Vlčích luk and her daughter Art´s Ginny Tercius .
Our aim is to produce puppies with good health and perfect friendly character.
Ike (Aya) is loving, friendly and temperament bitch. She is rather successful show bitch (several times class winner, CACIB in Brno 07, second and res. CACIB in Prague, where 50 flat coats were shown), but we don´t show too much. She had successful the ´07 season in hunting trials too – got 2 CACT´s, succeeded in 5 of 6 exams, worst result was 2nd level. The only exam she fell was National Field trial. A wounded pheasant fell some 5 meters from her and was still moving. She couldn’t stand such temptation. In 2008 Aya had her first litter. But later in the same year she had succesfull come back to competitions. She finished "universal" hunting trial in third level (with only one fault) and in her last autumn trial she got not only her last CACT, but she also became the winner of the trial. In shows she received her last CAC and gave us perfect Christmas present - she became Czech Champion and Czech Working Champion. In 2009 she was qualified for Czech Derby 2010 - one of the most important trials in Czech republic. In Derby 2010 she was in 9th place and the best of all flatcoats. She also had her 2nd litter - 10 healthy puppies, 8 boys and 2 girls. She is still in excellent condition, every autumn is she picking up the ducks and pheasants during hunting season.
In 2010 she had very good working season, but she had bad luck. She is qualified for Derby 2011, but failed to qualify for highhest competition. Probably, this year will be her last in competing. She´ll continue working during autumn shooting season picking up birds.
But most of all she is our friend. She is able to accompany us to any place, where dogs are allowed. She loves children, she was gentle companion to my disabled mother. We hope to breed puppies with similar character.
Ginny is very temperament young bitch, very friendly and very faithfull. She is big girl, when she was very young, she was almost "ugly duckling". But as in the fairy tale, she has grown up into charming young lady. She has good bones, nice angulation and deep ribcage. But most of all, she has excellent movement. Now, she has her first success in shows. She was excellent 3rd on club show and was class winner in National dog show. So maybe, she may be successfull in shows. But her future is in work. She passed her "tallent test" with full marks. In age of 14 month she pased her first exams - one of the higher exams with excellent grades. She never failed yet and except of top "universal" trial (which she passed in age of 17 months), she was allways between the best dogs. She has 5 titles CACT, one reserve CACIT from the International Field Trial (she was in second place out of 12 dogs). She was qualified for Derby od Czech Republic 2010 and is reserve for Internetional Retriever Trial 2010. Her working career is impressive, regarding her age.
In 2010 Ginny had excellent working results. She fulfiled requirements and became Czech working champion, won her second res. CACIT in international Field trial (ducks). But her greatest success was second place, res. CACIT and CACT in International Retriever Trial 2010, competition equal to National Championship. She was Vicechampion, only one point behind the winner. For 2011 will try tu suceed again, but to be qualified for International Retriever Trial is success and proof of the quality of the dog. So we have no plans - there are many others, who aspire for highest positions and most of them are excellent.
Ginny started 2011 in unusual manner. She gave birth to her first litter of 11 healthy puppies. She is perfect mother. We wondered, how will grandma Aya accept her daugter´s puppies. She was excited, she helped Ginny to care after puppies and she started to feed the little ones together with their mummy. So we have so called "two mothers system". Both are caring and feeding puppies in unusual unity.
Ginny is also perfectly friendly bitch (her friendly temperament was also especially mentioned by foreign judges in the Club show).
Litter "A"
We had puppies in April 2008, 6 males and only female.
We have had a nick names for all of them. They are the same number as the Weasley family from the Harry Potter books. So we called them Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron and Ginny.
All males found their new home, the last one, Bill, left in his 11th week. Ginny will stay with us and will be second bitch in our kennel. We have contact with all new owners of puppies. All boys seem to fulfill our aims. They have sweet and friendly temperament, they are good health. Charlie passed successfuly his "tallent tests", Fred had his first success in the Club show: twice 2nd in Junior class with special remark about his friendly temperament. Percy got in International Dog Show his first CAC and CACIB. Fred is also successful in work. He passed allpurpose trial and has right to carry title "U" as universal hunting use dog. In 2010 he got his first CAC and res. CAC.
Litter "B"
was born on 21st January 2010. We had 10 black puppies 8 males and 2 females. Photos are on this site. All puppies left for new homes.
We can report first success of "B" litter. Scotty (Braveheart Tercius) passed his "tallent test" and is first with show succes. In International Dog Show in Presov (Slovakia) won his class with CAJC title only one day after his first birthday. In BIS Junior was between first 6 competing dogs. He is not fully matured, so this result was excellent.
Litter "C"
was born on 1st. January 2011. Mother is Ginny (Art´s Ginny Tercius), father Black Amandas Almost Scary - imported from Danemark with excellent pedigree. Both are good in type, perfect health, and both have excellent working results. We have 8 male and 3 female puppies. Boys are still available for sale.
